Shubhra Jain is a promising artist, working primarily in acrylic colours. She produces a unique and contemporary style that touches the soul. Her abstract series take viewers into a meditative zone.
After completing her BFA, from very prestigious College of Art, Delhi University, she joined The Economic Times. She worked there for 8 years, starting as a trainee to a Design Manager. Later she was searching for some more out-of-the-box, design works and entered the world of paints.
So she has participated in more than 20 group exhibitions, including art fairs with Lalit Kala Academy, Uchaan Arts, Aktatva Arts, etc. Bagging a few awards too while participating in some online art competitions.
Her works depict her spiritual journey, of finding interconnected worlds of hope and light.
Her latest series is based on ‘The Story Of Sadako’. Paper cranes depict our deep faith and how our beliefs keep us positive. Focusing on our faith can make any situation full of hope. Faith in paper cranes brought hope that all will renew again, and goodness and harmony will prevail. She used the stippling technique beautifully and created patterns to create narratives of her thoughts.
