Sangeeta Kumar Murthy is a well-accomplished artist and researcher for the last 25 years, who has received several Awards and Honours for her contribution to Indian Art. She has done 9 Solo Shows and participated in more than 200 group shows. She was in Triveni Kala Sangam for nine years under the guidance of the Creative Genius Shri Rameshwar Broota.
She received a Senior Fellowship Award from CCRT, Cultural Ministry of India from 2018 to 2020. She has participated in Six Charity Auctions such as Christies and received awards like Amrita Sher Gill Rashtriya Kala Puraskar, Kala Ratan Samman, Nari Sashaktikaran, FACE International Women Leadership Award, Custodian of Art & Heritage, Shri Shakti Nari Pratibha Samman, Naayaka Award, Delhi Star Award are few of them.
Sangeeta represented India in the ‘Florence Biennale Italy. She is part of the ‘8th South Korea India Contemporary Art Exchange’, in Seoul, South Korea. She was part of the Artists’ delegation representing India for the SAARC, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Also, she was invited by the Princess of Saudi Arabia to exhibit her works at the National Museum, Riyadh. Sangeeta was invited by many prestigious Award Juries such as the’Kalidas Award’ for the years 2018, and 2019 and ‘Shikhar Samman’ for the years 2016, 2017 & 2018. She was on the jury of NCERT ‘Kala Utsav’ for 2018 & 2019.
Sangeeta’s works are part of many significant places like the Visitor’s Lounge at the Prime Minister of India’s residence. Her works can be found in several private and public collections in India and abroad
