Raj Jain, a quiet, gentle, and sensitive painter, teacher, and flutist had made a niche for himself in Chandigarh,
the city beautiful. Well known by his students and colleagues was greatly admired by several art lovers the unassuming personality who left us a few years ago. His works will always remain alive in our memories.
Born in Kota (Rajasthan) in 1931. Diploma in Fine Arts from Delhi Polytechnic. Member of several Art organizations. Taught at College of Art Chandigarh. Has been exhibiting his works in group and solo shows since 1961. Has many awards to his credit. AIFFACS sponsored his show in 2013. His works are in museums, government, and private collections.
