A strong-willed and multi-faceted artist, Smita Ghosh’s creative journey began in the early 1990s. Graduating as an applied artist from Delhi’s College of Art in 1993, her early experiences in animation studios ignited a passion for digital media, which would become a cornerstone of her artistic expression.
Following a successful tenure as a visual communicator at NIIT Ltd, for fourteen years, Smita embraced the creative freedom of freelancing. This period witnessed a significant expansion of her artistic repertoire, extending beyond digital art to encompass a diverse range of mediums. Her portfolio showcases a captivating and bold blend of styles, encompassing ink sketches, vibrant watercolors, moody charcoal pieces, and thought-provoking digital creations. Notably, Smita’s ability to capture fleeting moments and translating them into evocative paintings and photographs has consistently resonated with viewers. Her participation in the successful group show “Pravah 2024” further solidifies her position as a talented and versatile artist.
