‘Art is a journey of a free soul that makes you step beyond your existence and connects with something greater within oneself and beyond. More than anything Art for me, is a way of expressing myself to the outer world, which then eventually transforms into an object. I believe that as an artist I have a responsibility towards society, to give more than I take.’
Born out of an innate curiosity and a desire to create, Rimple began with humble beginnings. Experimenting with clay sourced from the earth, discovered her love for the medium. Through trial and error, perseverance, and a deep connection to the medium, she allowed her imagination to take flight. She works primarily with fiber, metal, wood, and mixed media, often combining these elements to achieve unique textures and contrasts. Each material offers distinct opportunities and possibilities, influencing the character and mood of her sculptures.
Rimple further says, ‘It reflects what I see and feel from within, which is translated into my creation. The work I do is a manifestation of my soul and all the things that touch me like womanhood, family ties, the power of God and so on.’
