Born in 1973 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Ajab Singh is a distinguished Indian sculptor and educator with a career spanning over three decades. A graduate in Fine Arts (BFA) and a Master’s in Sculpture (MFA) from the prestigious College of Art, New Delhi, Singh’s artistic journey reflects his dedication to the craft of sculpture.
Throughout his career, Singh has participated in numerous exhibitions, including the All India Art Exhibition (1997) and the Ravi Jain Memorial Art Exhibition. Notable among his early achievements was his contribution to the “50 Years of Independence” exhibition by AIFCS in 1997. His work has also been showcased in prominent group shows at venues like Y.B. Chavan Gallery, Mumbai, and Ravindra Bhawan, New Delhi.
Singh’s expertise has earned him invitations to several national sculpture camps, including those organized by the Lalit Kala Academy in Udaipur and Chandigarh. Recognized for his talent, he received the National Scholarship from the Lalit Kala Academy, further cementing his status as a leading figure in Indian sculpture.
His creations form part of prestigious collections, such as the British School, American School New Delhi, New Delhi, the Punjab War Museum, Coins Gallery National Museum, the Indian Art Museum at the National Science Centre, Lalit Kala Academy New Delhi, Lalit Kala Academy Chandigarh and many private collections
Alongside his artistic pursuits, Singh has dedicated over two decades to teaching sculpture at AIS, Noida, and two years at the British School, fostering a new generation of artists. His passion and contributions make him a celebrated figure in contemporary Indian sculpture.
