Shubhika Lal is a graduate of Delhi College of Art. Received a scholarship from the Ministry of Education to pursue metal casting in 1978 and a French Govt. Scholarship to study at Ecole the Beaux Arts, Paris. Have been Head of the Department, of Sculpture in Modern School Vasant Vihar from 1978 to 2012. She was an artist in residence at the Ottawa School of Arts, Canada in the year 1997.
Her works are in the collections of the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, The Lalit Kala Akademi Ahmedabad, Indian Oil Corporation, Faridabad, Taj Mumbai, Zal Praxis Foundation, Pundole Art Gallery, Mumbai, CMC, Bombay, and Hyderabad; Rasandik Engineering Industries India Limited, New Delhi; Arushi Gallery, New Delhi; The Indian Hotel Company LTD, Delhi Metro, IT Park, Fitzjames Enterprises, London, and other private collectors.
