Urban Refrain through Tribal Abstraction
April 4 @ 10:00 am - April 9 @ 7:00 pm IST

Gallerie Nvya presents Whimsical Lines: Urban Refrain Through Tribal Abstraction, a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Bhuwal Prasad. The exhibition explores the interplay between indigenous Indian art and contemporary abstraction, creating a unique visual language rich in bold lines, vibrant colours, and dynamic textures.
Bhuwal Prasad’s works are deeply rooted in traditional Indian folk and tribal art, incorporating influences from Warli, Gond, and Sohrai paintings. Through modern materials and experimental techniques, his works transcend cultural boundaries, reflecting a fusion of heritage and urban expression. His signature style—a playful yet profound abstraction—blends fluid brushstrokes, earthy tones, and whimsical forms that evolve into layered narratives.
The exhibition will open at Bikaner House from 4 – 9 April, then continue at Gallerie Nvya, Square One Designer Arcade, Saket from 24 May to 28 June, 2025
