Silent Echoes of a Flight Beyond… and whispers of the earth beneath…
April 4 @ 10:00 am - April 9 @ 7:00 pm IST

Gallerie Nvya proudly presents Silent Echoes of a Flight Beyond… and whispers of the earth beneath…, a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Lal Bahadur Singh. Through an evocative collection of paintings, Singh explores the intersection of nature, urbanization, and resilience, capturing the delicate balance between progress and ecological transformation.
In his new body of work, birds—parrots, sparrows, woodpeckers, and seagulls—take center stage, symbolizing life’s persistence amid industrial encroachment. These vivid, jewel-like creatures inhabit fragmented landscapes of bricks, wheat fields, and rocks, reflecting the artist’s meditation on adaptation and survival.
A highlight of the exhibition is a monumental four-panel cityscape where nature reclaims industrial ruins, juxtaposed against an ethereal vision of birds ascending beyond the confines of human-made structures.
This exhibition is a compelling commentary on modernity’s paradox—our relentless pursuit of development and the environmental and social costs that accompany it.
The exhibition will open in Bikaner House from 4 – 9 April, then continue at Gallerie Nvya, Square One Designer Arcade, Saket from 12 April – 17 May, 2025
