The 2019 Busan International Art Fair will begin at BEXCO today. The 18th edition of the fair will include 3,000 works from 250 domestic and foreign artists. The international art fair allows artists to directly sell their artworks to buyers, without having to go through a gallery. This year’s event has been drawing special attention as 124 20th century artworks from the Soviet Union will be showcased in a special exhibition. The works of young Japanese and Dutch artists who are active in major Asian regions such as Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan are also on display.
The event runs through the 9th of this month.
