‘I Ashok Mahakur, a Gurgaon based visual artist from Odisha. I have been practicing art and participating in various art exhibition, seminar and workshop in India and abroad for last 15 years. I had received state painting exhibition award, Odisha and Jajpur chitrakala award in the year 2005 and 2006. I express through multiple medium such as painting, terracotta, installation, photography, sculpture etc .My early works were hyper realistic but over the time I have refined my stylistic approach. Presently I’m working on a new visual art technique of semi realistic form of newspaper to represent the role and importance of knowledge in the society.
I feel that knowledge is actually the wealth and even health. It is only the property by which human can survive like a human and make this earth more beautiful and peaceful. However we speak, react, act or choose in our daily life, it depends on human nature and our nature is completely dependent on our knowledge of understanding. We only display our knowledge through our emotions and actions.
Knowledge is not only the smartness while doing any action, but also honesty, respect, kindness, truthfulness and beliefs in yourself. It helps to get connected between our common sense and six senses. Being a knowledgeable, we only can contribute to our nation, society, friends, family and whole mankind. So let your knowledge only be your face, style, personality and even identity.
