Alka Singh Sengar, hailing from New Delhi, completed her Bachelor of Arts at B. R. Ambedkar University in Agra, UP in 2000. In 2017, she further honed her artistic skills through certificate courses at the National Modern Art Gallery and Roopchand Fine Arts Institute in Delhi. More recently, in 2019, she participated in a Live Study Course at the National Modern Art Gallery in Jaipur House, Delhi.
Alka has often been described with labels like ‘perfectionist’, ‘difficult’, and ‘obsessive’. She believes that a true artist must embrace a degree of obsession and pay close attention to detail. Alka identifies as a spiritual woman, a lover of nature, a fitness enthusiast, a guitar player, a meditator, and a passionate art aficionado.
Her deep devotion to her craft is clearly evident in her artistic creations, which encompass techniques such as acrylic, oil, freestyle, sketching, and charcoal art. Alka has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across locations like Bhutan, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur, showcasing her work and connecting with other art lovers.
