Redefining the Cultural Gaze

The exhibition “Redefining the Cultural Gaze” will explore the artistic journey of Thota Vaikuntam, one of India’s most renowned master artists. From his humble beginnings in a small village in Andhra Pradesh to becoming a celebrated figure in Indian art, Vaikuntam’s work vividly reflects the vibrant culture of Telangana and Indian aesthetics. The exhibition will feature a vast collection of his works, spanning from the 1980s to the present day. Additionally, the event will include the launch of a documentary film and a recent publication on the artist’s life and work.
