Submergence and Emergence: The Continuum of Structures and Being’a solo show of paintings, acrylic on canvas, by Dr. Suryasnata Mohanty

The acrylic works painted using knife and occasional brush on canvas present abstracts of lasting architectures and impressionist imageries of ancient temples that form vantage points of human realities in the magnificent narrative of existence, survival and continuities. Dr. Suryasnata Mohanty paints with layers of acrylic, using knife and occasional brush, creating impressionist images of lasting architectures and continuities if life discoverable in the forms of ancient temples that survive the passage of time and lives. The origin and continuity ties of life is a complex and magnificent narrative, which continues in cycles, a motion un-orientable. In dialogue with such non linearity of organic expansion, numerous vantage points that construct human reality because of cultural orientations and social alignments, merge, overlap and occasionally blur out in the paintings of Suryasnata Mohanty.
