The Art Place held an inaugural show of paintings and photographics by three senior artists: Sudhir Tripurari, Kamal Sharma, and Kishore Shanker Chawla. All three represented different Moods in life.
The inaugural lamp was lit by Sh. Roop Chand Veteran artist, Sh. R K Yadav, senior artist, and Sh. Ajay Singhal from Sanskaar Bharti.
The event saw a good gathering of artists and art lovers. Sh. Roop Chand ji introduced the artists and their works. Sudhir Tripurai in the field of art for the last 40 years is a dreamer and is at present working on the concept of lines traveling the universe, while Kamal Sharma is into meditation a self taught artist teaching the human mind through the seven chakraas and Kishore Shanker Chawla on the other hard work in the field of photo-graphics a creative combination of digital photography and computer graphics, beside being an artist he is also an art historian compiling a directory of artist from Haryana.
Sh. R K Yadav said art is from the heart food for he soul, Sh. Roop Chand ji added to it by saying artists not only need food for the soul but food for the body; that is where the role of society art lovers comes in to support the artist.
The show will be on till the 2nd June 2013 at The Art Place, SCO 22, Sector-15 Part II, Gurgaon
Gallery Art Place was started by Capt. Kamal N Yadav his passion for art started after he visited the Winter Palace in St Petersbourg, which has the largest collection of art in the world. He started collecting art all over the world during his frequent travels. Gurgaon today is no longer a suburb of Delhi but a self sustain metro city where people from all over the world work and live and together with other amenities there is also space and need for another gallery not only as a place where people can see and buy good art but also as a place where the artist can display and show their talents.
The twin purpose of the gallery is to provide a platform for young and local artist to showcase their works and, at the same time, provide affordable art to people.
Its location is its plus point being in the heart of Gurgaon at Sector-15 Part II it is easily accessible from all parts as well as being in commercial area there is good footfall.
