The concluding day of CONFLUENCE 23 was an eventful one: Senior Artist Professor Rajeev Lochan (Ex Director National Gallery of Modern Art New Delhi) and his wife Yuriko Lochan conducted a memorable artists interactive walkthrough. Evening saw an interactive session of well known living legend of the Indian art world, Artist Jatin Das with a slide show displaying over 125 of his gigantic marvelous creations executed during a span of over 60 years of his illustrious career.
Senior Artist Professor Rajeev Lochan (Ex Director National Gallery of Modern Art New Delhi) said, “CONFLUENCE 23 is a sincere effort by WOBS, would love to see the story grow further.“
Artist Jatin Das said, “it’s an interesting exhibition despite the fact that these artists are not well known yet. They are skilled and they have very good potential.”
Highlight of the day was film screening of Oscar qualified and National Award-winning film SONSI and preview of yet to be released film SHERA presented by Actor, Producer, Vikas Kumar. Both the films were made under the banner of independent filmmakers Khan and Kumar.
Actor Vikas Kumar said, “Confluence ’23 was an excellent opportunity for artists. Thank you, for giving Sharib and me a platform to screen our short films. I look forward to more such events as they are a great encouragement! Would love to extend my support to all such endeavours in the future.”
‘CONFLUENCE 23’ was a collection of artworks from 29 Artists that includes Acclaimed Fashion Designer Abhishek Gupta, Amrai Dua, legendary animation film maker late Arnab Chaudhuri, Aryan Arora, Avi Kripalani, Cyril Kuhn, Dhaarna Jaisinghani, Divyam Raghunath, Divyaman Singh, Dr. Abhishek Gaurav, Gareema Shankar, Hajra Ahmad, Harveen Roohi Kapur, Himanshu Agarwal, Jagjit Singh, Kunal Batra, Malvika Singh, Manish Issar, Senior Architect Mukul Goyal, Muzammil Hussain, Nikita Gambhir, Nipurama S. Saakshar Makhija, Bangkok based progressive dancer Sejal Surendra Sood, Shoaib Shawl, Graphic Designer Sudeep Chaudhuri, Upam Lahkar, Vaishali Gupta and Vibhor Sogani.
Curator Rohit Jaiswal said, “Confluence 23 turned out to be a beautiful convergence of art forms from diverse genre. We will make it a recurring annual event that helps promote art and culture.”
