The upcoming retrospective – Jyoti Bhatt: Through the Line & the Lens, is curated by renowned artist Rekha Rodwittiya. The exhibition will be on view from April 12 to April 21, 2025, at Bikaner House, New Delhi, with a preview scheduled for April 12 from 6 to 9 PM. The exhibition will continue at LATITUDE 28 until May 25, 2025.
This landmark show offers an intimate survey of the prolific artistic journey of Jyoti Bhatt—one of India’s most distinguished printmakers, photographers, and educators. Featuring etchings, lithographs, serigraphs, photographs, and personal writings, Through the Line & the Lens presents a rare insight into Bhatt’s artistic philosophy and his deep engagement with Indian visual traditions. His photographic documentation of Living Traditions of India has influenced his graphic prints over decades, creating an interconnected artistic narrative that merges folk traditions with modernist sensibilities.
