When art becomes a mirror to society, exhibitions like KALABIMB-26 remind us of the power of creativity to transcend boundaries. This year, FineTouch’s much-anticipated national art exhibition returns for its 9th edition, promising a grand celebration of contemporary Indian art at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
From 5 June 2026, the gallery will transform into a vibrant arena of imagination, showcasing the works of 25 distinguished artists whose practices span painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed-media. Each piece is not just an artwork but a dialogue—between tradition and modernity, between the personal and the universal.
A Gathering of Eminent Voices
The inauguration, scheduled for 5 June at 6:30 PM, will be graced by stalwarts of the art and academic world. Niren Sen Gupta, celebrated artist and art educator, will serve as the Special Guest, while Prof. Rajbir Singh, former Vice Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, will preside as Chief Guest. Adding to the distinguished presence are Prof. (Dr.) K.G. Suresh, Director of India Habitat Centre, and Dr. Sharanjeet Kaur, former Chairperson of the Rehabilitation Council of India.
Their participation underscores the exhibition’s role not merely as an art showcase, but as a cultural dialogue—a platform where creativity intersects with education, policy, and public engagement.
Why KALABIMB-26 Matters
In a time when contemporary Indian art is gaining global recognition, KALABIMB-26 stands as a testament to the diverse voices shaping India’s artistic landscape. The exhibition’s strength lies in its inclusivity: established masters share space with emerging talents, and traditional techniques converse with experimental forms.
Visitors can expect to encounter works that challenge perceptions, celebrate identity, and explore the complexities of modern life. Whether through the tactile presence of sculpture, the immediacy of photography, or the layered narratives of mixed-media, the exhibition invites audiences to engage deeply with the visual language of our times.
