Art to celebrate the joy of togetherness at Sanchit Art

An art exhibition to celebrate the month of love is ongoing at Sanchit Art, Delhi. The show has on display paintings by renowned artists including Paresh Maity, Neeraj Goswami, Manoj Dutta, Laxma K Goud, Vaikuntam and many others all portraying love in their unique form.

The intensity of the gaze with which the subjects adore each other, captures the viewer in the intimate portrayal of the couple in Paresh Maity’s canvas. Rich hues of joy and a riot of colours fills the painting of Satish Gujral, which belongs to the most lyrical phase of his career when playful motifs like kites, musical instruments and birds filled the expanses as sound has filled his life. Neeraj Goswami uses forms of colour and prismatic indices to create a visual symphony of spiritual existence which is pure joy and endless love, while Manoj Dutta’s couple epitomises the eternal love transcending even death. Both Laxma K Goud and Vaikuntam, captures the sensuality and vibrancy of the rustic folk of their native villages, which brings forth the essence of dynamic Indian ethos with a bucolic naivety.
