It is with great pleasure that we introduce the exhibition, ‘ART & THE CITY 2015’, carefully
put together to create a common platform for the artists across the country and to celebrate the power of our visual idioms.
‘ART & THE CITY 2015’ is an exposition by 29 artists of India displaying varied mediums of
their visual languages as paintings, sculptures, photographs, and mix media. It’s an effort to promote the appreciation of art and strengthen art’s role in the community.
The idea is to bring art to people who might never really interact with it. It’s for all citizens, and it’s about making the city more interesting and more visually significant. It is rightly said that the City is made by the people, and in return the City makes the people.
