SUMMARY:Silence: Within Beyond Between
DESCRIPTION:Gallery Pradarshak presents Silence: Within. Beyond. Between\, a group exhibition featuring 14 artists from 7 cities\, whose works explore moments of pause\, reflection\, and inward attention in an increasingly accelerated world. \nCurated around the many forms that silence can take\, the exhibition brings together diverse artistic voices working across painting\, printmaking\, mixed media\, and photography. Nature\, memory\, spirituality\, architecture\, personal experience and the rhythms of everyday life emerge as recurring threads\, revealing silence not as absence\, but as a space of awareness and discovery. \nFrom contemplative landscapes and meditative abstractions to evocative figurative works and observations drawn from the natural world\, the exhibition invites viewers to slow down and engage with quieter ways of seeing. \nThe exhibition assumes added significance as Gallery Pradarshak marks 32 years of its journey this June. Since 1994\, the gallery has remained committed to making original art accessible\, nurturing emerging talent and building meaningful connections between artists and audiences. Over three decades\, it has presented exhibitions\, artist showcases and public-facing initiatives that encourage engagement with art across generations of artists\, collectors and enthusiasts. \nAs part of the opening weekend\, the gallery will also host a special edition of Open Canvas – Kala ke Kisse aur Cutting Chai\, its intimate conversation series around art\, culture and design. Titled What Are We Missing in the Noise?\, the session will explore attention\, distraction\, stillness and the role silence plays in how we experience art and everyday life. Scheduled for 20th June\, the discussion extends the exhibition beyond the gallery walls\, inviting audiences to actively participate in the ideas that shape the show. \nAs Gallery Pradarshak enters its 33rd year\, Silence: Within. Beyond. Between reflects the gallery’s continuing commitment to thoughtful curation\, meaningful artistic dialogue and community engagement. At a time defined by constant stimulation and rapid consumption\, the exhibition and accompanying conversation offer an opportunity to pause\, reflect and reconnect with the quieter dimensions of experience. \nParticipating Artists: Monali Pawaskar\, Meghanad Ganpule\, Deepshikha Verma\, Savya Jain\, Fatemah Bundeally\, Amita Dand\, Sayani Mondal\, Meetul Agarwal\, Ar. Zahra Yasmoon\, Madhura Deshpande\, Jayashree Ghosh\, Lalit Patil\, Rachana Bajaj and Ankita Shahasane. \nSilence: Within. Beyond. Between will be on view at Gallery Pradarshak from 19th to 27th June 2026. \nOpen to All | Artworks Available for Purchase \nFor enquiries\, please contact: \n📞 +91 9920386641

SUMMARY:Liminal Threshold
DESCRIPTION:Liminal Threshold\, curated by Ruchi Sharma\, is a solo exhibition by Sumit Sarkar. In the exhibition the artist navigates the fragile boundaries between memory\, imagination\, and the subconscious through layered and deeply personal visual narratives. Sarkar’s body of work revolves around domestic objects such as pillows\, mattresses\, folded fabrics\, and stitched surfaces. These objects are not only a sense of comfort but are also carriers of memory\, emotion and lived experience. Each fold\, crease and stitch are signs of presence\, absence\, healing and emotional weight. \nThe title of the show\, Liminal Threshold\, is a reference to a space between one state and another. Gates\, pathways\, folds\, and layered surfaces appear as symbols of movement\, and transformation. Sarkar’s works leave room for reflection\, and speak about memories embedded in objects\, places and moments of transition. The threshold becomes a space where different realities meet and merge.
