India Art Festival, a leading modern and contemporary art fair in India, is a new model for dialogue and collaborations between artists, art galleries, art buyers and connoisseurs who come together every year under roof since 2011.  India Art Festival provides unique opportunity to the art galleries and artists to create a network with the art dealers, art collectors and art buyers. The general exhibition pavilion in the India Art Festival hosts major and mid-level art galleries with thousands of innovative artworks from the array of their associate artists, whereas Artists’ Pavilion offers emerging, independent artists the opportunity to get discovered and enjoy the attention along with the established artists.

India Art Festival,  an interactive platform, features curated ‘Conversations’ a two-days educative seminar with a series of panel discussions offering expert perspectives on the subjects ranging from the contemporary  art and the economy, art collection, exhibitions, to art galleries and infrastructure. The India Art Festival Conversations brings together an eminent set of participants from a range of sites, scenes and practices within the domain of contemporary art, including artists, gallerists, museum directors, critics, historians, institution-builders, cultural organizers, editors and publishers. The speakers present and discuss ideas, insights and prognostications drawn from their rich experience.

Since its first edition in 2011, India Art Festival successfully facilitated expansion of the periphery of art patronage by mounting the grand art festivals not only in India but in the overseas countries like South Korea and others. After the four successful editions at Mumbai, India Art Festival positions itself as a successful and tested new module of art fair  with a focus on both – art galleries and independent artists.

India Art Festival is an initiative of Kalavishkar, an organization that endeavors to democratize Indian Art in all possible ways through the initiatives such as India Art Festival and Indian Contemporary Art Journal, a quarterly magazine on visual arts.

India Art Festival is presenting its fifth edition at Nehru Center, Mumbai, India from 26 to 29 Nov 2015 and its debut edition at National Stadium, New Delhi from 14 to 17 Jan 2016. In the last four editions, India Art Festival attracted little over hundred thousand visitors and became the first art fair in the central India to receive the highest number of visitors.
