Ramesh Terdal is a well known Karnataka Based Trained Visual Artist.he was born in 1972 in place called Gadag, Karnataka.He obtained Master Degree in painting fr Bangalore University,Karnataka Ramesh Terdal Has received around 12 national and State level Awards from Karnataka lalit Kala Academi,South Centre Zone Culture centre Nagpur, Culture Department, Govt of India has given Junior Fellowship,State Academy Scholarship for his excellence in his chosen field,he was visiting Faculty fro jain School of Art Bangalore. Ramesh exhibited his works around the world Austria,Slovenia,Italy,England,Texas,Florida,Paris,in India,New Delhi,Mumbai,Bangalore,Mangalore,Goa,Etc July 2011 austria Govt invited him for art workshop in Austria and Slovenia.

Ramesh Terdal is one of those young artists who have been constantly painting and his visual language is evolving into a more ingeniously layered articulation over the period of time. Coming from a small town of Karnataka to the cultural city, Delhi, Terdal is constantly striving and working to create a space of his own; like many other artists and this transition is apparent in many of his works arising questions of identity and influence. In his most recent works, Terdal has achieved a great deal of drama in his coloured palette. From the time of his bachelors in Bangalore University he has explored and experimented with varied subjects and have sustained a dual commitment- to his social concerns and to his medium, to his subjects and to the making of his art, with equal sincerity and concern. From his strong nude canvases to the study of piety Buddha imagery he has arrived at a contemporary take with images from urban and popular subject matter with a new set of possibilities to articulate his social concerns in a simple and candid idiom.
